How to Get Rid of Oily Skin

Are your oil glands in overactive production? Do you wish to get rid of that irritating sheen? Protect against whiteheads, acne, and bad skin?

The top remedy for greasy skin is straightforward. Nevertheless it requires a uniform daily and weekly schedule.

The subsequent five orders outline the base for oily skin care...

1. Soothingly swab your visage two times a day through a weak purifier. I advocate using a natural product.

Learn from my mistakes...

Throughout my teen years, I was in an ongoing battle with overactive oil glands and serious acne. Up till now I had no idea how to effectively deal with the problem.

I tried "miracle products" and excessive face scrubs more than a few times a day. Little did I see I was in fact making my problem worse. The severe cure was irritating, not helpful. Irritated skin rebels by producing extra oil. A vicious circle!

The top advice for oily skin care is to regulate cleansing to morning and night. And always treat your face tenderly.

2. Use an astringent or a toner following cleansing. A toner will stiffen pores and smooth the look of your skin. If doable, reapply through the daytime for a fast pep up.

3. Give your greasy skin to a mud mask. Also referred to as a "mud mask," this is obtainable at first-rate salons and private day spas. The advantage of a clay mask is owing to the distinctive capacity of clay to remove and soak up grease from deep inside your pores. This oily skin solution will allow your skin being clear and glowing.

4. Exfoliate once or two times a week. Exfoliation will:

* Eliminate dead skin cells
* Reduce oil creation
* Shrivel the look of engorged pores

Exfoliation can be abrasive to facial skin. Each time pick a gentle product and rub on softly. By no means "scrub" your face with anything. Don’t do too much, either. Exfoliating twice a week is ideal for oily skin.

5. Rub on an oil-free moisturizer only if wanted. As a rule a moisturizer is not needed for oily skin care. Yet there are exceptions. Oil and moisture are unequal. You may well have oily skin yet lack moisture. This is particularly true as skin ages. Or perhaps your skin is a mixture of dry and oily. If so, rub on a moisturizer to the dried out areas only... frequently the cheeks and neck.

Constancy is the solution to vigorous skin care. Incorporating these five Solutions for Oily Skin inside your schedule will set you on the route to healthy, gleam-free and mark-free facial.

How To Have Healthy Skin

Get Healthy Skin

You need to do all that’s in your power to treat your skin right. Your health is often judged by your skin. For some people, flawless skin may be a genetic advantage, but for those who aren’t blessed enough to have good-looking skin, perfect skin can be made – with a lot of work. Follow these 5 skin care guides to get perfect skin -- you can use these in combination with the various home remedies for acne that are listed on this site.

Cleansing
To get flawless skin, make a regimen of scrubbing your skin two times a day. Doing so will help eliminate bacteria on your skin. This skin care recommendation is one of the most important things you can do to get rid of skin blemishes. If you don’t wash your face, and your skin will look unclean. The best way to clean your face is to rub cleaning product on it in a circular motion. Rinse with cold water after several minutes and pat dry with a towel. Do not rub your skin with a towel, otherwise you will stretch your skin and it may sag in time. There are skin care home remedies that you can also use to help clean your skin, such as using lemon juice as a face wash.

Make Sure Your Exfoliate
Try to create regimen of exfoliating your face. When exfoliating, you thoroughly clean your face of dead skin and excess bacteria. You should use natural exfoliantssuch as salt, sugar, or sand. You must exfoliate your skin because it gives the skin a a much better cleaning. Exfoliation removes the top surface of the skin. Exfoliate between 2 to 3 times a week; too much can damage your skin, however.

Put Toner on Your Skin
You should use facial toning on your skin. Without a doubt, toner is one of the most important parts of good facial hygien. Facial toner works by getting rid of excess grim from your face and helps to tighten up your pores - - this diminishes the chances of an zit breakout.

Apply Moisturizer
Each morning you should make a habit of moisturizing your skin. Skin that is moisturized stays hydrated throughout the day. Moisturizer protects the skin by creating a barrier that keeps the moisture beneath it, ensuring the skin stays hydrated. It’s best to use non comedogenic moisturizer – this type of skin product will not clog your pores and contribute to zit outbreaks. For the best results from moisturizing your skin, you can tap the skin’s surface as soon as you finish after applying the moisturizer product – this will help to maximize the skin’s absorption of the moisture.

Use Sunscreen
Try to put on sunscreen before going outdoors. The aging of the skin is accelerated through the harmful exposure to the sun’s rays. Sun rays are very harmful to skin. Excess exposure to the sun can cause cancer as well, so make sure to protect your skin.

If you want to improve your complexion or are looking for some effective skin care treatments, follow the acne/skin care tips given above. You want to properly care for your skin, it’s essential to follow a strict skincare plan to get real results. For the best results, combine thes treatments with acne home remedies!

Healthy Living as Home Remedy for Acne

Treating Acne Through Healthy Living

The are many methods to consider when you want to cure your acne with home remedies. However, one of the most important ways to fight against acne is healthy living. Unfortunately, this is usually glossed over by many acne websites offering acne tips. Healthy living plays a crucial role in how your acne is treated.

What Is Healthy Living as an Acne Home Remedy
Healthy living consists of a variety of things: proper nutrition, satisfying the proper daily water consumption, and exercise. You would be surprised at how much these three things will do as far as helping you cure or reduce your acne problem. Most people want a quick fix, a simple jot down to the drugstore or pharmacy to pick up some easy-to-apply topical acne medicine, then an instant disappearance of your acne. Other factors such as actual acne treatments and (if you are a girl) wearing the right types of makeup also help, but it's crucial to consider proper nutrition and exercise as one of the more important home remedies for acne.

Unfortunately, curing your acne is not that easy at all. Yes, some (usually very few) people will find some success with this, but the majority won't. If you are serious about getting rid of acne, you need to change your diet and start to exercise every day. If you want to get rid of blackheads, following a proper skin care regimen is key -- you will reduce oily skin which means less blackheads. Proper diet is absolutely essential for helping your body maintain good defense against microbe infections and other ailments. Exercise is also a something the body needs to keep itself running at an optimum level. Exercise helps the body eliminate excess weight, reduce body fat, keeps the heart healthy, and helps keep pores clean and clear. The point is to keep your body in the best shape possible; if you do so, the body will have a much easier time at preventing acne outbreaks.

Healthy living is a key "acne home remedy" to pursue. It may or may not cure your acne, but it's an essential home remedy for acne that you need to pursue.

Acne Scarring Home Remedy: Chemical Peel

The Chemical Peel as a Home Remedy

So I thought I would explore the Chemical Peel as a home remedy for acne and acne scarring. Chemical Peels aren't a home remedy, you say. Well, yea, they aren't, but in the strictest sense of the word, you can purchase over-the-counter home chemical peels which, as the title suggests, you can use in the comfort of your own home!

A chemical peel is probably the most effective way (other than plastic surgery) of removing acne scars from your face. Sure, there are other acne scar treatments and home remedies that will help minimize the scarring, but you will be hard pressed to find anything matching the effectiveness of the chemical peel. This is great news! If you thought you had to live with your acne scars for the rest of your life, well, you thought wrong. So let's explore the in's and out's to chemical peels as an acne treatment.

Chemical peels are a powerful concoction of chemicals that are applied to the face to remove the top layer of damaged skin. The chemical peel is a non-surgical treatment. You can treat both acne scars and active acne with it, though it's far more effective for scar removal than it is as an acne cure. If you want to improve your complexion, the chemical peel delivers, but if you want to cure your acne, you might be disappointed. But no fear, you can check out the other useful acne home remedies on this blog and find that acne cure!

There are four types of chemical peels: super light, light, medium, and deep. The least effective and cheapest is the super light chemical peel, or also called "off the shelf" home chemical peel. You can purchase these at any drugstore for around 30 dollars. If you want to quickly and painlessly improve your complexion on a budget, the at home chemical peel is probably your best bet. However, it's not anywhere near as effective as the other chemical peels. The light and medium chemical peels require a trained specialist to perform; you can visit a doctor, spa, or salon for this type of peel. If you have mild acne scarring, the light or medium peels may prove effective. If you have some serious acne scarring -- usually the result of some serious cystic acne -- only the deep chemical peel will be really effective. The cost? Well, the cost is literally the cost. Deep chemical peels will cost you about a thousand dollars a treatment, and you may require multiple treatments.

If you do undergo a chemical peel, expect a slight tingling of your skin along with some numbness. Some people complain of a slight stinging -- but these are the minority. The most pain you will probably have to endure is the stench of the strong chemicals. The chemical-peel session will last around 45 minutes, but can vary depending on your skin's needs. It typically takes about a week for your skin to properly heal and you will have to endure red, flaky skin that may be tender to the touch. Don't put any makeup or sun tanning lotion on. If possible avoid putting any lotion that's oily. If you dry skin really bothers you, put some mild moisturizer on the counter the dryness.

The chemical peel is a very effective acne scar treatment. While, it's not exactly a "home" remedy, it can be if you purchase the off-the-shelf peel from a drugstore. It's important to at least know your options. Treat you acne with home remedies but if you end up with acne scarring after the acne disappears, I highly suggest you consider the chemical peel as possible treatment.

Natural Acne Herbal Remedies

There are literally dozens of acne herbal home remedies to consider. My advice is that you try them all if necessary. Each person responds differently to herbal home remedies so you’re going to have to experiment to find the best result. Unfortunately, there is no “instant” cure for acne. Yes, with the right dedication and work-ethic, you can reduce and maybe even eliminate acne. But the road to completely clearing your face can be a long and difficult one. Think of curing your acne as a part time job – it’s going to take that much work (well, not literally, but you will need the same type of dedication to get rid of your acne).

Why herbal acne treatments as opposed to off-the-shelf acne medicines? Well, herbal skin remedies are cheap for one, and they are readily available from your local drugstore. In fact, I’m willing to bet you have more than a few of the treatments I list in your fridge or cupboard! So read the list and start testing them out. Always keep in mind that in the world of acne home remedies, there are many many different variations of each “recipe” and many different remedies altogether. It’s sort of an acne-fighting jungle and one that you will have to cross by yourself. As I suggest on all of my acne guides posted here, if you chose one of the treatments to try, you should stick to a regimen for at least 2 weeks to see if you get any results. You should follow your acne-fighting regimen religiously. Don’t skip a day! So without ado, here are the most common Acne herbal remedies. Note that these remedies are specifically geared towards helping you treat your acne; if you want to treat and remove acne scars, you may want to consider using some of the medicated treatments out there, such as chemical peels. But for giving your refreshing and clean-looking skin, follow the remedies given below.

Amaranth
Brew a tea from amaranth seeds. Use it as a face wash every morning. Boil three cups of water then add 3 teaspoons of amaranth seeds. Simmer for 6 minutes before removing from heat. Let the mixture steep for a good twenty to thirty minutes.

Basil
Another very effective herbal acne treatment. What you should do is take basil oil (you can find some at your local health-food store) and rub it on your affected skin areas. Another variation I’ve seen on this is to make a tea. Mix 3 teaspoons of dried basil leaves (available from grocery stores everywhere) and boil them. When the water comes to a boil, remove and let steep for a good 10 minutes. Drink twice a day.

Tea Tree Oil
One of the most common herbal acne remedies. Try this one first if you are wondering where to start. Buy from your local health store. Use 5 to 10 percent solutions once or twice a day for best results. Tea tree oil comes from a tree native to Australia. The tree contains special antiseptic ingredients that are very effective skin disinfectants. If you look at the off-the-shelf acne medicines and facial washes, you will notice many of them contain tea tree oil. People claim that tea tree oil is at least as effective as 5% benzoyl peroxide without all the horrible drying – high praise indeed since one of the biggest downsides to using benzoyl peroxide acne medications is the terrible drying that can occur in your skin!

Tea
Besides being a delicious drink, tea can actually be used as a acne herbal remedy! You can use special types of tea as both a drink to consume or as a face wash. If you choose to use tea as a facewash, make sure it’s cool first before washing. Some of the more popular acne-fighting tea leaves to drink: chickweed, dandelion, red clover, Echinacea, ginseng, valerian, and yellow dock.

Calendula
You can use this for topical skin treatments. There are many products that contain the herb. Or, take some pure calendula and make a tea. Use the (cool) tea as an effective acne face wash remedy twice a day.

Burdock
A powerful herb to fight acne with, burdock is pretty much the single most important herb used for treating all kinds of chronic skin problems, including acne. You should definitely give this one a shot. Boil a quart of water then add 3 teaspoons of dried burdock root. Let simmer for 10 minutes before removing from stove. Let the burdock roots simmer for at least 1 an a half hours before removing. You can use it as a daily face wash.

Oregon Grape
This herb has powerful antibiotic properties. You can get it in several forms (dried root, tincture, fluid extract, or solid powder).

Calendula

Calendula can be made into tinctures, lotions and creams. Look for products containing this herb. Make a tea of calendula and wash your face.

Natural Herbal Remedies are a powerful tool to be used against skin problems. I highly suggest going the herbal remedy route if you aren’t having much luck with off-the-shelf acne treatments.

Some of the best natural acne remedies can be found right in your household. These special acne-fighting ingredients are handled by you every day. Use as a face wash twice a day for three weeks. This is a is an effective acne home remedy.

Carrot Juice
Wash your face with carrot juice twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. This will clear up any problem zits. This is best used for mild acne.

Charcoal
Take 3 tablets of charcoal twice a day. This helps with your digestion and may in fact clear your face.

Cucumbers
Mash up or juice a cumber. Take the resulting poultice and apply it to your face once a day. Leave on for at least 20 minutes. The cucumber juices counteract the bacteria living in your skin. People claim this purifies the blood and lymphatic system which gives clearer-looking skin.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Combine apple cider vinegar with lemon or lime juice. Us as a face wash twice a day. The acidic qualities of the vinegar helps clean the pores and flush out toxins form your skin. The lemon juice kills the bacteria living in your pores – the cause of the red swelling endemic to acne. If you follow this for a month, your skin complexion will radically improve and your face will gain a certain luster. My mother uses this every day and has found great success with it to counter wrinkles and aging. Many people are suffering from headaches every day, caused by the emotional struggles acne brings with it, but stick to this acne home remedy and your acne could be a thing of the past. This one is quite good to use for skin care for children.

Egg Whites
Another common and readily available treatment are egg whites. Rub egg whites over your skin and let dry. Leave on for 20 minutes before washing off. The egg white acts as an astringent and purifies your skin surface. Egg whites help reduce puffyness of the face; consistant use of this remedy can go a long way in helping with your longterm puffy scar removal goals. You may find egg whites, due to their gentle ingredients, are quite good for skin care for children. Some babies suffer from mild acne and you can try egg whites on their skin for a few minutes each day as a remedy.

Garlic
Apply some crushed garlic to problem spots. Leave on for 10 minutes. Warning: you will have to deal with the strong smell. But if you can stand it, you may find great success with this natural acne home remedy.

Lemon Juice

Wash your face twice a day with lemon juice. The lemon juice will help kill the bacteria living in your pores, reducing your acne.

Grapfruit (seed) Extract

Mix 10 drops of the extract with a cup of water. Dab affected areas with a tissue or cotton ball. Grapefruit seed extract has powerful antibacterial properties. Make a regimen of this once a day to see results. This skin care home remedy is wonderfully refreshing -- I personally use it!

Molasses

Mix up a tablespoon of molasses with half a teaspoon of sulfur and rub on your face. Leave it on for 20 minutes a day before washing off with lukewarm water. You may notice in increase of outbreaks on your skin for a couple days, but don’t worry, this is a sign your face is being cleaned. In a week, your acne will start to clear up. The molasses is particularly good for skin care for men.

Tea Tree Oil
A very popular acne home remedy and one that, unlike many, has been scientifically proven to be effective. Research has shown that Tea Tree Oil is as effective as 5% Benzoyl Peroxide. There has been some evidence that Tea Tree oil is even useful for acne scar tissue removal. Get ahold of some pure tea tree oil and place directly on the affected area once a day. You should see a remarkable improvement in a couple weeeks.

Oil of Oregano
This is a great acne-preventing treatment that you may want to consider. As a disinfectant and general acne cure, oil of oregano is the best there is. Rub the oil onto your face and leave it there. Don’t wash off. If your skin becomes irritated, mix water with the oil before rubbing on your face. There are various acne treatments you can pursue. It's just a matter of finding them!

It's important to note that acne home remedies will often moisturize your skin. These are almost always better than those cheap skin moisturizers you find in the store. Home remedies are also natural as well. I find it's better to use home remedies that to buy discount anti-aging skin products. I don't suggest using both home remedies and traditional acne medications at the same time.

These Natural Acne Remedies are proven treatments for thousands of people. If you want to know how to completely get rid of acne, check out the other guides on this blog!
